Web accessibility is mandatory for governments according to the current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards. Moreover, a new version, 2.2, will arrive in December 2022. There, the standards are even stricter. All Belgian government websites and applications must also be as accessible as possible.
