We are really satisfied across the board. Custom filters, such as activities based on weather forecasts, were a must for us.

Previously, Visit Nieuwpoort lacked a modern and user-friendly online platform where visitors could easily find information about activities, accommodations, and attractions in the city. This was seen as a gap, considering how much Nieuwpoort has to offer both residents and tourists.
Recognizing this need, the Nieuwpoort city council tasked the Tourism department with developing a new website that not only meets current demands but is also future-proof.

The city council emphasized the importance of a user-friendly website, both for visitors and those managing it. Customer-centricity was key; the website needed to be simple to use and meet the diverse needs of its visitors. Ensuring the site met accessibility standards was also crucial, making information easily accessible for everyone.

Paddle, with their extensive expertise in web design and development for local governments and tourist websites, accepted the challenge. They worked closely with the Visit Nieuwpoort team to deliver a tailored solution.
We laid the foundation for clear navigation and, in a card sorting session with the City of Nieuwpoort, we highlighted the city's unique aspects in the new website.
Together, they created an intuitive and engaging user experience, integrating features such as a favorites module to allow visitors to personalize their travel plans.

Given the very short delivery timeframe, there were some minor flaws just after publication, but these were quickly corrected. The hands-on service, even after delivery, was a huge plus!
