Municipality of Alveringem
The local government of Alveringem faced the challenge of modernizing its outdated website. The existing site no longer met current standards in terms of design and content. The goal was to develop a new, user-friendly website that would meet the needs of residents and give the municipality a contemporary digital presence.
The Request
The outdated Alveringem website (see image above) urgently needed replacement. It no longer met modern requirements, both in terms of design and content. A new platform was needed that was not only visually more appealing but also more user-friendly and easier to maintain.
The Solution
After a thorough analysis of the existing website and user data, the project began with a kick-off meeting where needs and goals were discussed. The new website was built on the Paddle CMS in Drupal 9, following a migration from the old Drupal 7 platform. The design was tailored to the municipality's branding, with input from the core team and approval from the city council. The project manager ensured a smooth integration of the new navigation structure and design. Additionally, various training sessions were provided for Alveringem's web team, focusing on the effective use of the CMS and creating web content.
The Result
On June 4, 2021, the new website of the municipality of Alveringem went live. The website now offers a fresh, modern look and improved functionality, thanks to a more user-friendly navigation system and clear, accessible information presentation. The integration of new modules such as advanced search functions, a calendar, and web forms ensures more efficient service delivery. Moreover, the web team can easily manage and update the site, enhancing digital interaction with residents.
