Hello Christa! Introduce yourself.
I am Christa Schaubroeck, born in the best year for wine ever. I am a proud supporter of the Buffaloes and 9000. I was born in Ghent and live in Ghent's green outskirts. I am also a mum of 3 children and two plus children. I'm known as a bouncer and consider myself a real web geek with a healthy dose of perspective.
What do you enjoy about the job of project manager?
The job of a PM is versatile. You keep in touch with different customers and have to think strategically. I like keeping myself up to speed and analysing the results with the team and the customer.
It is a multifaceted job where you have to work daily to deliver projects in the best possible way. The client's contentment is the most crucial goal in this respect. Our connection with the client is essential in this.
Why Paddle?
The niche market we work in at Paddle appeals firmly to me. I strongly believe in a business model that focuses on this. Digitisation at governments, local authorities, intercommunal offices and hospitals can gain even more momentum, and we can help with that.
In addition, these target groups are also very grateful; we get a lot of respect and appreciation in return. Just that connection with the customer, which I mentioned earlier, is vital at Paddle.
What are your hobbies and passions?
I have a busy family life and am a natural family person. I love sharing moments with my family. Having dinner together is therefore sacred, as we can discuss all topics. I want to cherish quality time with my family and share a little happiness with my family.
You love moments at the table. What is your favourite dish? I go for a classic: ham rolls in cheese sauce. For the people living in Ghent among us, spaghetti of the Kastart also fits the bill. And like any Belgian, I don't say no to chips from the chip shop.
What would you sing at a karaoke party?
Anne by Clouseau.
Great choice; you can already start practising! What are your challenges in your job?
First, I want to familiarise myself with the different files and bring my knowledge of the Paddle CMS to a high level. And most importantly, staying myself and always put the client's contentment first.
