Hi Judit, who are you? Introduce yourself.
I'm Judit, 27 years old and like to describe myself as a nerd. Not in programming or in other technologies, but in language. I studied Dutch, French, and Spanish to really shape my passion for language. I'm always up for a discussion about grammar rules, spelling, and writing. Synoniemen.net is my favourite website at the moment.
Is language what you do at Paddle then?
Yes, that's right. I'm Paddle's copywriter, so you can contact me for all of your "does this need a D or a T" questions, writing for the web, translations, and accessibility, as well as for SEO and marketing support in general.
What are your hobbies and passions?
My biggest passion is language of course, as I said. Did you know I participated in the Groot Dictee der Nederlandse Taal? At the age of 20, I was the youngest participant, among all kinds of Germanists and Dutch teachers. I scored very well. I also like swimming and travelling. One of my trips took me to Argentina, where I stuck around for a while and met my partner. We moved to Belgium together a few years ago. We live in Ghent with Merryl, our orange cat that we adopted from the cat café DreamCATchers in Ghent.
What song would you loudly sing along to at a karaoke night?
I'm definitely going for a classic: 'September' by Earth, Wind & Fire. I'll happily roar along with every high and low note.
What are your goals and challenges at Paddle?
I have a less technical profile than most of our team members. I think I can ensure a strong balance between technology and communication thanks to my language and writing background. This allows us all to work together and provide varied, in-depth customer service where we always strive for maximal accessibility.
