Efficient Collaboration at VLABEL
Intranet Enhances Internal Operations
Thanks to VLABEL's new intranet, employees can now collaborate more smoothly and effectively.
VLABEL no longer shares an intranet with the Department of Finance and Budget. This shift created the need for a dedicated intranet platform. This platform should be accessible to employees, allowing them to easily find useful information and contact details of colleagues. Access to the intranet is secured through access rights defined in ACM-IDM.
The search function on the intranet ensures that we can find everything we need. Mission accomplished.

What is ACM-IDM?
ACM-IDM stands for "Access Control Management - Identity Management." This term describes systems and processes that manage and control user identification within an organization.
These systems ensure the secure and efficient management of user access to company resources, such as networks, applications, and data. Essential for an intranet.
To ensure secure access to the intranet, VLABEL uses ACM-IDM to guarantee that only authorized users can access it.
ACM-IDM involves:
- Defining roles
- Assigning rights
- Regulating access based on these roles
ACM-IDM helps secure the platform against unauthorized access and protects (sensitive) information.
At Paddle.be, we ensure the integration with the Paddle CMS Platform and verify whether the person attempting to log in has the necessary access rights.
Client's Request
VLABEL is already familiar with our Content Management System (CMS), the Paddle CMS Platform. However, for the internal communications department at VLABEL, of which Evelyn Indestege is a part, there were still some new features to explore.
The intranet also needed to 'feel' like the public-facing website while having a clear visual distinction so that internal VLABEL employees know they are on the right platform.
A key objective of this project: providing accurate information to VLABEL's internal staff. Evelyn wants to use the intranet to streamline information as much as possible.
Our Solution
To meet VLABEL's request, we delivered a customized solution in three parts:
Design and Integration
Development of a user-friendly interface that aligns with VLABEL's corporate identity. Integration of the new intranet ensures a smooth transition and functional continuity.
Configuration
We don't just build a website. The Paddle CMS Platform is based on a system where we seamlessly configure multiple modules together. We build once and distribute in multiples. That's how it works.
The Paddle CMS Platform functions similarly for an intranet, although configurations are adjusted to meet VLABEL's specific needs. One of these modules is the search function, which ensures that everything we search for can be found.
Through the search function on the intranet, we actually find everything we are looking for. Mission accomplished.
Another example is the integration with access rights via ACM-IDM, which is essential for ensuring secure access to the platform.
Project Management
Naomi closely monitored the entire project, ensuring everything was delivered punctually and met VLABEL's expectations.
Once we had the training and intranet work environment at our disposal, everything went smoothly.
The client informed us that communication was on point, characterized by regular updates and continuous interaction with VLABEL stakeholders to ensure the project met all expectations and requirements.
Result
The final product is a fully functional intranet exclusively accessible to VLABEL employees.
We find it pleasant to work with this version. There are occasional questions, but nothing insurmountable. This simple CMS allows us to manage content efficiently.
The platform enhances internal communication and makes sharing essential information more efficient.
With the integration of ACM-IDM, data security and privacy are ensured. This project represents a significant step forward in supporting VLABEL's independence and operational efficiency.
