The IYBA SEED Hub is an initiative within a European multi-partner programme focused on strengthening entrepreneurship ecosystems in Africa.
The organisation brings together knowledge, tools and networks to better support young businesses and entrepreneurs, with a strong focus on job creation and economic development for young people and women.
The challenge
The ambition of the IYBA-SEED Hub was to strengthen knowledge sharing between African and European D4D Hub stakeholders. Public authorities, private-sector actors, academic institutions and civil society organisations needed to be able to find and share relevant lessons, good practices and knowledge products on digital transformation, the digital economy and digitalisation with ease. The challenge was to centralise this broad range of information in one clear, accessible and future-oriented platform. The site not only had to publish content, but also actively promote knowledge, disseminate it and make it easy to find for diverse target groups with different geographical and thematic interests.
The approach
Expertise France chose European Service Network and the Paddle CMS platform because of its extensive functional capabilities and its positive impact on budget and timing. As a completely new website was needed, the focus from the outset was on a clear structure and a logical organisation of the content for visitors. We carried out a thorough analysis of the target groups, geographical focus and thematic priorities. Based on this, and through joint exercises with the team, we developed a clear navigation structure and a dedicated content type for knowledge products. This allowed visitors to search and filter the knowledge hub’s offering in a targeted way. The graphic design was built on the basis of the supplied visual identity, after which our team handled development and styling. We also supported the content integration.
The result
The result is a user-friendly and scalable knowledge hub that brings together knowledge products on digital transformation in one central place and makes them more accessible to stakeholders in Africa and Europe. Thanks to clear navigation, a specialised content type and refined search and filtering options, visitors can quickly find relevant good practices, lessons learned and other knowledge items. At the same time, Expertise France gained a platform that is efficient to manage and on which its internal team has been able to publish and maintain content independently since launch. In this way, the IYBA-SEED Hub supports not only knowledge sharing, but also the sustainable dissemination of expertise within a broad international ecosystem.
